Historic Storm Leaving the Northeast

No doubt you’ve likely heard of the massive snow storm that hit the Northeast U.S. over the weekend.  While this area of the U.S. is no stranger to snow, having a white Halloween is not typical.  This storm became a Nor’easter on Friday, but dumped the bulk of the snow as it moved into upper New England on Saturday.  Now the low pressure responsible for this storm is around the Nova Scotia area.  That means residents can start digging out.  Here is a map of the heaviest hit areas.  I chose the highest snow total I’ve seen and posted it for each state.
